Tran Family Eyecare

Run away as fast as you can!! I had a very unprofessional and upsetting experience with this doctor. I was told my eyes were extremely red, like I smoked pot, and I was told that people in my life must not care about me if they weren’t telling me about my eyes. I was also told there were many things wrong with my eyes and I would need surgery in several years. I saw another eye doctor a month later to get another opinion who confirmed my eyes were healthy, and that the prescription I had been given was incorrect. Based on this experience, I will not return or recommend this office!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Went to Dr Tran for an eye exam and he immediately told me how poor my eyes out and I have a host of issues with them. Even went as far to say I need to see a neurologist and may need a spinal tap procedure. Also told me I had a cataract. He really scared me with how many issues he told me were wrong with my eyes. I immediately got a 2nd opinion at Beaufort Eye Clinic and come to find out, they can’t find a single issue wrong with my eyes. They said they are in perfect condition, healthy, only issue is my vision, which I already knew. No cataracts and no need for a neurologist. I have talked to quite a few people about Dr Tran who ALL say he told them they had serious issues with they actually didn’t. Please do not go here.

Thank you, Dr, Tran You have made my vision better by your expertise. Since I found the time to make an appointment with your office I made an appointment with my primary care doctor, just for a checkup. You were able to provide an update on not just my vision but my health as well. Some other vision care doctors do not provide what could be leading to poor vision besides updating their prescriptions. You provided an accurate reason leading to my strained vision which was confirmed by my primary doctor 2 weeks later. Stay away from this 'Doctor'. I am 27 with recent strabismus issues in the last 3 years including double vision/headaches/etc. I went to him as he was the 'best in the area' looking for answers or even a recommendation to somewhere that could help me. He proceeded to tell me that I have terrible vision because I have neglected my eyes, my job practices, then REFUSED to give me a referral to a specialist that could help me because it would 'look bad on his part' and 'surgery will never help my problem'. I have since then gone through surgery for my issues with 100% success and has been life changing to me in all sense of the word. If I listened to Dr. Tran, it would've been detrimental to my vision and my life as a whole.

Another review since they deleted my last. Dr.Tran is a fraud and a scam artist. I went to him and he told me I had glaucoma and to go see a specialist. I’m in my early twenties so obviously this was concerning for me. I went to a different eye doctor and she told me I was fine and immediately knew I had gone to dr.Tran without me even saying his name! He’s apparently known for “seeing things that aren’t here” as she put it. DO NOT GO HERE
