Thurmont Pharmacy - Med One Pharmacy

I have used this pharmacy about 2 or 3 years ago with no issues. But today I went to get a medication filled hat had been prescribed from a doctor right up the road that I wasn't allowed to receive the medication because I live in parkville which is about 1.5 hours away. I was in person, they had the prescription sent over from the doctors office, the medication was in stock, my address matched my ID, and they still refused me service because they claim they can only fill prescriptions within a certain range. I got denied my medication because I am not a local. Absolutely ridiculous

Terrible experience- I have a blood disorder that .1% of the population has, along with Lupus, fibromyalgia and spinal stenosis with spinal cord compression. They went out of their way to find an excuse to not fill my prescription all while lying to me about needing to know my diagnosis in order to fill it.My PCP called and told me the real reason they wouldn’t fill it and I went elsewhere . If you want a pharmacy that judges you, doesn’t want to fill your medications, lies to you for days that results in prolonging your care, then this is the pharmacy for you. I wanted to change to a less potent prescription and for that reason I discharged myself from a previous Dr that wanted to keep throwing a higher dosage of meds at me without helping my issue, this pharmacy called that Dr and withou

Great pharmacy staff. I had a issue getting my prescription filled and they worked with me and the doctor to find a solution. When most of the big pharmacies told me they couldn’t help they worked hard to find a solution! Love this place. I will not ever go back to the large pharmacies again.

If you live in Hagerstown they won’t fill your prescription. I used to really like this Pharmacy. My doctors office is right across the street. But when I tried to get my prescriptions filled they said no because my home address on the prescription is in Hagerstown. How ridiculous of an excuse is that? Any way, that’s why I’m giving this establishment one star.

Promptly fills prescriptions, and staff is very helpful and friendly.
