Full disclosure: I’m an LMT and Rolfer here at TheraKneads. I am not reviewing myself here, but rather a service I recently had. I did an immersion tank session and I am pleasantly surprised with how much relief it brought me. My lower back had been in recovery from some spasm. Floating felt like I imagine weightlessness to feel; I likened it to being in the womb, but far more spacious – the tank/cabin is large enough for me stand up in, and I was floating with my arms and legs fully outstretched without touching the sides. It’s not like being shut in a coffin, which was how I imagined immersion tanks. The session began with some light and music which then faded.
