ThedaCare Walk-in Care-Waupaca

Most of the times I have used this I have found it quite acceptable. On a busy day you will have a longer wait, but it beats no appointment at all. A very nice option if you need it!

I wish I didn’t even have to give this place a single star because they don’t deserve it. I drove an hour with my daughter who is 4 months old to be seen because they were one of my only two options for an urgent care that would see her, I showed up and am told that they won’t see her because they are full for the day. I asked them aren’t you a regular walk in urgent care? And they said oh we are an urgent care and a walk in but we require appointments. The front desk lady then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do which is fine, but I asked if she could please ask the doctor if they could see her still because she only spoke to a nurse and she kept not answering my question. The walk-in care at Thedacare in Waupaca has the longest wait times I've ever encountered. This has been my experience every time and during my latest visit, I was informed that there were two doctors on duty and only four patients ahead of us, yet we waited over 2 hours to be seen. This level of customer service is simply unacceptable. It was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. It's difficult to believe that community health is a priority for them when they seem to disregard our time. Take responsibility Thedacare, identify the problem, and implement a solution. I recommend to avoid Theda walk-in if you can, I know I will be.

I took my 11mos old daughter to the walk-in clinic as I was concerned about an ear infection. Everyone I talked to from intake to the RN to the pharmacist was professional, caring and thorough with the information they requested & provided. Even though we had never been here previously as we're not from the area, everything was done efficiently which was great since I had a baby who was not feeling well. Also a bonus: there was a pharmacy in the building so I didn't have to make another stop to pick up my daughters prescription!

This place is ridiculous! Waited for 3 hours as a walk in. I talking to other folks, they have been waiting for several hours as well. Not 1 person was interested in helping things move quickly. But they were interested in you leaving and informing them that you did so they didn’t have to wait on you. Next time I will happily drive an hour to a Target clinic and get help much faster. Health care at its finest!
