The Terrace at Crystal

I’m often afraid that I will have an emergency and no one will know for hours. Today, like many other times since I was moved here four months ago I find myself looking out the door of my room and watching the staff ignore my requests for help. I have used my call button, which seems to be working properly for a change, I also have a small brass hand bell that I’ve been given to use in case my call button isn’t working. I ring this bell as rapidly and loudly as I’m able, I’ve been told by the handful of attentive staff here that the bell can be heard all the way down to the end of the hallway. As I ring this bell over and over today, Saturday Sept 20,2025, I look out the door to my room and down the hallway, and watch the staff as they stand at the nurses station, others walk back and fort

Dirty. Understaffed. No activities. No diabetic friendly nutritional meals. Meals are high carbohydrate high sugar in composition. Under watch by the State for multiple state and federal violations... Search on the Internet will provide a list of the violations across the last approximately 3 to 5 years. Personally I recently had severe swelling in my lower right leg and did not receive the appropriate care or seen by an MD for the swelling until 4 or 5 days after the swelling had subsided. I would not recommend anyone placing a family member or client in this facility.

Patient is definitely not cared for whatsoever, meds not given properly, food restrictions not followed, if pork was supposed to be served if said person won't touch pork to serve it no meat was served and Patient is on a higher protein diet 🤬you can buzz and ring the bell for help for more than an hour and No one responds can't believe this place is allowed to care for any human being and the place is dirty and unkept.... nasty place

The Terrace at Crystal is by the worst place to send a loved one with special needs. They do-not provide a renal diet. Patient response time "could die and no one would ever know ". Beds are plastic covered racks. Their understanding of all sorts of medication and their function escapes most of the staff. Getting meds on your time scale is laughable. Getting alk the right meds is a crapshoot. Most of the nurses and aides were above reproach. The chef, while probably a good home coik,she is terrible for the patients. I believe she uses MSG (monosodium glutamate.)which contains large quantities of sodium. Alright I'll get over it. No I won't.

My very sick friend is housed here. Staff doesn't help her when she soils herself, nor do they take out garbages within residence rooms without being told to do so. They allow residence to over store items in their rooms, and I witness many things happening that shouldn't be between residence!
