The Sanctuary at St. Cloud

Let me start off by saying, if you care about your family member do not have them live in this facility. They have very high staff turnover. They’ve been investigated multiple times by the department of health for maltreatment. They gave my MIL the incorrect medication & only left my husband a voicemail apologizing for it. Luckily, it was an error that didn’t cause serious health consequences. My MIL had diabetes & was in a wheelchair & while living at the Sanctuary she had constant bloody/scabbed legs due to not being cared for properly. They could not even assist in putting her compression socks on daily which is a very, very basic service. As soon as she moved to a new facility her legs were fixed almost immediately. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. It’s complete chaos in that building, please talk to any employee outside of management before sending your loved ones here.

The memory care unit aides/nurses were amazing! There were 2 or 3 that went above and beyond. Now let's talk about the office people. The person who was at the Sanctuary passed away two weeks after getting there. The billing office has the nerve to bill for the month of May. They said they needed a 30 day notice . My question is, how do you give a notice when you don't know when a person is going to pass. Shame on them for doing this to people when they are grieving. Shame on The Sanctuary!!

The Sanctuary is one of my favorite Assisted Living facilities. I am a musician who has been performing for about 20 years at Assisted Living and Nursing homes in the St Cloud and central Minnesota area. I've been performing at the Sanctuary for about the last 4 years. I have been in literally hundreds of assisted living facilities throughout Minnesota. The Sanctuary is one of my favorite places to perform. The people look happy and the staff are always there to help. It is a relatively new facility and everything is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend the Sanctuary for anyone looking for Assisted Living for themselves or their loved ones.

I have lived at The Sanctuary for almost a year. Having to enter an assisted living is a big change, I had lived in other assisted livings before coming here. They were missing the part of feeling at home. The Sanctuary not only feels at home but it also feels like a family. The rooms are very large compared to other assisted living. The food is amazing and we have choices of daily activities. Come take a tour, you won’t regret it.
