Paramount at Somers – Nottingham Floor I cannot thank enough all of the dedicated professionals who took such wonderful care of my mom during her stay on the Nottingham floor. Starting with RN Yolanda, who makes sure everyone is comfortable and receiving the right treatment. She is always friendly, approachable, and has a warm smile that truly makes a difference. LPN Jody is amazing — she gives each resident her full attention while administering medications and always does so with kindness and professionalism. Melika was fantastic, making sure my mom’s room was clean, organized, and her bed was always made up comfortably. The PT and OT department, under the terrific leadership of Angela, is outstanding. Angela’s attention, positivity, and oversight create such a supportive rehabilitation

One of the best staff interactions I had has been with Dovid the concierge. Any questions that I might have had, I would contact him and he became for me the light of this facility. He speaks to the person, making me feel seen and heard.

I felt a connection with Tracy the morning nurse from the time I was admitted here and she has felt like a daughter to me the way she was caring, concerned, and interested in my well-being. Betsy the afternoon nurse was also very attentive. Yolanda the Unit Manager makes me laugh every time I see her in the hall with her happy go lucky attitude. When I leave here I will be sending the nursing staff a bouquet of flowers to brighten their day like they’ve brightened mine and sped my recovery. Myra, Brian, Victor, and Tomo from PT/OT were excellent. In the beginning I was so weak and now I’m practically walking on my own. They encouraged me and I did my what I had to do. Isabella the speech therapist showed a lot of patience and brought me to the point where I could swallow normally any regul

My recovery has involved more than simply doing a good job in therapy. Being in the Paramount has also meant forming friendships and learning to trust others. One of the most meaningful parts of this experience has been the new relationships I’ve formed and learning to trust that people will support me when I feel unsteady. When I first arrived, my condition was very serious. My face was badly injured, to the point where I did not recognize myself in the mirror. Now, more than two weeks later, I feel markedly improved. I’m also beginning to recover cognitively, with noticeable improvement in my memory. When I reflect on everything together, the physical healing, the emotional support, and the trust I’ve rebuilt, this is what I refer to as mending my body and my soul.

The Paramount at Somers is an exceptional facility that goes above and beyond for its residents and their families. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and professional, creating an environment where patients feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. A special thank you to the concierge, Dovid, who is approachable, responsive, and deeply invested in both patient care and family communication. He takes the time to listen, address concerns, and ensure that everything runs smoothly, which makes a tremendous difference.
