The Medical Center at Bowling Green: Emergency Room

I was treated at The Medical Center ER over the weekend and received excellent care. The entire staff went out of their way to keep me comfortable. Fortunately I was able to be discharged after a thorough workup was completed. I highly recommend The Medical Center. We're lucky to have a world class hospital here in Bowling Green.

After enduring hours of pain and trying to avoid going to the emergency room or any doctor, I finally decided I couldn't take it anymore, and went to the Medical Center ER. I was very impressed with the way I was treated, from start to finish. Every member of the team that treated me was attentive, thorough, respectful, pleasant, and comforting. I was diagnosed with a UTI, and given a shot of anti-inflammatory medication so I wouldn't remain in pain, and given prescription antibiotics. My care team made sure that my pain had eased before sending me home, and they were thorough, in informing me to not hesitate to return if my symptoms persisted or worsened. I couldn't be happier with the decision I made, to go to Med Center Health! Oh, and also, my wait times were beyond reasonable! Thank y

I'm giving them the five star because I have never had an issue with this emergency room. Med center has always been great, however my last experience in this raz area that they have created really needs to go away. The people over there are rude, not thorough I was given a pain med injection which lasted just about till I got home and I couldn't get out of my car because the pain was so severe. I had to call an ambulance to go back. Had a long wait which didn't bother me because I was comfortable in the position I was in. I just could not move because of the pain and definitely want heart attack and strokes and emergency situations to be attended to before my pain after about 5 or 6 hours of waiting in a hallway, the doctor finally came over and said I looked at your CAT scan. Let me work

Worst emergency room ever! Waited 2 plus hours, had an excruciating headache. Asked how much longer and was told” you can see the waiting room is full” I said this is a serious emergency do you take patience based on urgency or as they come in. Was told we have no beds. Left and went to the new tri star emergency after an MRI was sent by ambulance to Nashville hospital. Turns out I had life threatening sepsis and meningitis. The staff is clues to see urgency for care. Will never go there again

Zero stars. If I could give negative stars I would. The receptionist was rude. The triage nurse was rude. I sat in the waiting room for 8 hours waiting to be seen… and it was a disorganized mess. Someone drew my blood basically in an office. Weird. I’ll never go back next time I’ll go to Owensboro. I traveled an hour just to go to this place. Waste of time and waste of gas.
