The Lilac at Silver Palms

The Lilac at Silver Palms nursing home cared for my mother during the last quarter of her life! There are not enough words to share my gratitude to the entire staff at the Lilac. The nurses were very loving and attentive to every need.They welcomed my family like their own. I will always hold the Lilac in high esteem and would recommend any family to trust them with your loved one.

I don’t agree with the bad reviews. This facility is short staff so no they can’t sit at your mother’s bedside 24/7 when they have 40 other people on the floor with two aides and one nurse. It is impossible. The company is cheap and will not hire more people to accommodate. At night my mother only had two aides for her entire floor. I stayed overnight to help and observe and these women are working very hard but there is only so much two people can do.

I was just there and it's a mixed bag. Some good, some bad, and the bad outdid the good. The food is HORRENDOUS ! The breakfast was either 2 cold not toasted pancakes or frozen waffles. They would have once or twice a week, what looked like took an ice cream scoop of scrambled eggs that tasted old, and not well seasoned and were cooked in old & unclean oil. The CNA's are often just talking to each other, and not looking to help care for patients. As for patient services, the laundry was hit & miss, as I lost 3 pair of shorts & 2 t-shirts in a stay of 3 & 1/2 weeks. Once I asked for a CNA to hand me my Bible and she said that it was the Devil's Book, because it's an Orthodox Study Bible, "not a Christian" Bible. And then she walked out of the room. I had the pleasure of having my family member stay at the lilac facility. We had a pleasant experience our family member was well taken care of And rehabilitated properly. The staff there was very welcoming not to mention it was super clean and Hotel like I would recommend this to anyone who is searching for a skilled nursing facility.
