The Dermatology Specialists - Washington Heights

Booked an appointment here and the receptionist was very rude and condescending. Told me I need to put a card down on file because I have “commercial” insurance and have a deductible even though my plan does not (I showed her the plan benefits). She proceeded to laugh at me like I was incompetent and wouldn’t actually explain to me why they needed a card on file. I suspect they fabricate positive reviews on Google because the ones on Yelp for other locations are absolutely terrible. It seems like they’re infamous for fraudulent billing. I ended up walking out and canceling my appt (best decision ever).

I walked in today to inquire about services. The receptionist was on her phone not even acknowledging me. Until I said hello to her so she can greet me. I then asked if this was a menu. She proceeded to say what kind of menu. I asked of the services you offer… Then she said oh yeah. Was very interested in their services but because of this receptionist I will not be coming to this location. Hopefully the other locations have better receptionist. For the pricing they have I would expect better quality employees.

After making an appointment online, they called me and said my time was double booked. The recipient was trying to get me to book for the next day and sounded upset when I requested a later time the same day. Then when i arrived i was rushed like they were trying to go home early. My next appointment I made for 10 am and I waited an hour before asking when I was to be seen and they said there is a “problem with there system still” and i would be after a man who walked in after me. At that point I had to leave both experiences were unprofessional and very frustrating will not be returning to this location again.

Doctors and staff were very kind professional and efficient. Short wait time and Office is nice and clean as well. Highly recommended

This was my first visit and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Doctor Karen was absolutely amazing—thorough, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely at ease. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and provided a treatment plan that made me feel confident moving forward. The entire visit was professional, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend!
