Texas Childrens Urgent Care Fairfield

This place is an absolute waste. My husband took our three year old for suffering a severe cut to his eyelid the day after Christmas and they refused to even see him. Told us to take him to the ER. That’s it. Went down the street to Excel Urgent Care in Cypress for a second opinion they took my son right away. Cleaned it up and thank goodness it was only a very bad scratch. Don’t waste your time or your money with this place.

I should’ve read the reviews before coming here… The place was empty. I didn’t see or hear a single other patient in there. I got there at 12:55pm for my 1pm appointment. We got walked back to our room maybe 10 minutes after arriving. That’s cool. That’s normal. We then waiting in our room for 50 minutes without seeing a single employee. I asked for the restroom after 40 minutes of waiting to say “Hey. I’m still here”. I then start looking up reviews of this place and see the long list incompetency. I saw how long some people waited in the past and said forget that. My kids symptoms are not crazy so I got up and left. As I opened the door some guy jumped up out of his chair as if he forgot we were in there. It’s at most a 5 minutes diagnosis, prescription and out the door we go. Never had

I brought my daughter here and had a very disappointing experience. We waited over 2 hours just to be seen by the provider. When it was time to collect a urine sample, the nurse attempted a straight catheterization multiple times and was still unable to obtain a sample. It was incredibly traumatic for my daughter to go through that, and it felt unnecessary. After all of that, they ended up placing a urine collection bag anyway—something I believe they should have done from the start to avoid the stress and pain. On top of that, the provider would not even consider starting antibiotics until I insisted that I could not return for another long wait if the culture came back positive. Overall, the service and care were extremely disappointing. I would avoid this location if possible.

Editing my review after my recent visit: previously I had a bad experience here and left a review but after today, I give this place 5 stars. The nurses were exceptional and thorough. The doctor was kind and attentive. My son left feeling much better and I was relieved. The front desk associate that was rude previously was kind today so the issue was resolved. I have zero complaints and appreciate their care. Thank you!

Wish I read the reviews before going here last Sunday. Doctor on duty took exactly 56 seconds to let us know that our 1 year old doesn’t need anything and it will run its course. Didn’t trust it because he has been running 102 consistently and build up on his eyes. Went to his pediatrician next day they properly diagnosed ear infection, his flu is really bad and the excessive mucus draining can lead to other issues. Got him on antibiotic immediately. I don’t know what’s the deal with this location. Maybe just for $. Needless to say don’t trust them with your Child’s health.
