Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Beacon

I love this place. Maribel, Destiny, and the rest of the nursing team are really good! They respect us and give us good service. Their best dishes are the lasagna and hot dogs- and the rice when it's cooked right. We wouldn't mind more hot coffee but the things that matter like nursing and rehab are really good here.

Some of the aides are great. Jackie is veryyy good. She takes care of you and listens. Rebecca is a great night nurse. I call her mama (even though shes like 40 years younger than me). Were like family. There are ups and downs but we get along!

On Sunday, lady at the front counter got some attitude towards me (a Delivery Driver) making a dropoff to a customer. Calling me "difficult" with not even understanding how delivering works for a Delivery Platform. Customer also got an attitude, all for requesting a PIN number to complete the dropoff, for handing off her food. Thankfully, not everyone is like these two people. My first ever delivery to this location, an employee who was leaving & the customer was polite & respectful.

I spent five weeks at the Taconic Beacon after spending two weeks in St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. It was the most wonderful experience at the Taconic Beacon. The nurses in the orange section were absolutely wonderful. Nurse Sonia was amazing. All the aids were wonderful. I received the proper medicine the proper care and when I left, I knew I would miss them all The food was good. The atmosphere was wonderful and I was very well cared for I highly recommend this place to anyone.

We checked my mother-in-law into Taconic sub-acute unit after a week in the hospital. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone there was cordial and polite, while also serious and committed to their work. Physical and occupational therapy were administered with purpose and on a regular schedule. We were included in a meeting with her care team to discuss the rehabilitation plan and set a target release date. The facility is clean and well maintained with a little bit of wear showing. While we were there, they put up cheerful holiday decorations for Easter and then Mothers Day. There was always music playing in the hallways. and lots of natural light. They allowed us to take mom out for lunch or dinner or to just sit outside whenever we wanted. They also allow you to bring in famil
