I have been a patient of Dr Birks for many years when she was at MGH. She was instrumental in checking my Aorta as my mother died when hers exploded. We found I had a cancerous growth in my stomach that needed immediate attention. She is very diligent with follow up and maintaining contact to be sure progress is going well. When she informed me she was leaving MGH I did not hesitate to follow her and have no regrets. Not only a great Primary Care but a concerned person when it comes to her patients.
