Surfside Pediatrics

It’s heartbreaking to see this place deteriorate since Nemours took over. The office, particularly the front desk and administration, has become cold and impersonal. I’ve been bringing my kids here for over eight years since they were born since Surfside pediatric, and it saddens me that now they are treated like mere corporate entities rather than human beings. The only reason I continue to visit is because of Teena, the nurse practitioner that she’s still working there, and Dr. Feltus, although the doctor’s presence is sporadic. It’s disheartening, but I believe I’ll have to seek another doctor’s office where we are treated with dignity and respect.

Watch out for this place! When you call the office and tell them what you are coming in for they will book your appointment then when you go in they will say we can’t do that it’s the wrong appt type. Then charge you 85.00 and say you will have to rebook. This place is a total scam and money hungry. I would look for a different pediatrician. I am a PA I think I know what a wart is. The nurse argued with my wife convinced her it was an old blister did nothing and charged us for the visit. This is a warning like I said this place is a scam. I am sure they will have an employee argue this and say they are a parent and very satisfied with their care. I would be very careful going here!

I've been with Dr Atkinson office for a couple of years now. My daughter's Autistic and this office has gone above and beyond for her. They are always nice to her. When she is sick they even call for checkups, after hours to call in medicine. Teena the Nurse Practitioner, is literally one of the nicest to my daughter. My daughter knows no boundaries, and she is so patient with her. Teena has helped my daughter more then any other Nurse, ever. I am so glad I found them.

We absolutely love Surfside Pediatrics. The Dr and NP that work there engage my kids every time we go in, so my kid actually like going to the Dr. Dr Feltus is so so caring. For the negative review below, as a mom of a 3 month old- I APPRECIATE my pediatrics office not allowing up to do vaccine patients to go there. This is very common. It’s to protect her other patients. Even if he’s had some, he hasn’t had all and isn’t up to date. I would recommend this office to anyone! Hands down!

I’ve had an amazing experience at surfside with both of my kids, a 2 year old and 3 month old. Whenever I’ve called with questions my phone call is returned immediately by the Dr or APRN (both amazing!). I really appreciate that they are both moms so they are very relatable. I have always been impressed with their bedside manner, especially important as my 2 year old can be shy… but he warmed up quickly to the staff! Some additional perks: easy to get appointments, books in the waiting rooms, I’ve never waited more than 5 mins to be seen, nice office
