Surf Pediatrics and Medicine

I have taken my children to Surf Pediatrics for several years. In the past, I've had nothing but positive and glowing things to say about the practice. Unfortunately, after negative experiences in recent months, I will explore other Pediatrician offices elsewhere. The general office dynamic has shifted in a negative light. Wait times have transitioned to 15+ minutes past the scheduled appointment time. Upon asking questions recently, I was met with a rather dismissive attitude. I have had the privilege of living throughout the U.S. over the years, experiencing differing levels of medical care and experience. Absolutely adore the staff here! Dr. Angelo is the best & her technician/aide (Brooke) is so friendly. They care about their patients and are extremely down to earth, friendly, and knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Always look forward to going to see them!

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! Everyone that I interacted with was kind and efficient. Katelyn was extraordinary and answered all of my questions and concerns. Also I’ve never had such a quick and easy experience with having my blood drawn. Highly recommend.

Took my son here for a removal of a splinter. We were told they did not have anesthesia for the removal. I said it was ok, he would be fine with topical or lidocaine injection. For 20 minutes we attempted to get the splinter out without the use of lidocaine. My son was hyperventilating. I am not upset at them for that. What I WAS upset about was that both my wife and I insisted on the lidocaine injection they provided after that. The NP then went out into the office and grabbed the lidocaine syringe and another nurse. Me my wife and the nurse held my 5 year old down while he was screaming for another 5 minutes. When we let him take a break for the anesthesic to kick in, we were told it was not put in yet. This is after we told them to do the lidocaine not once but twice. We never gave them

Do not use this facility! After Dr Jennifer Halloran took care of my wife and I for 5+ years & was mysteriously "furloughed" at the beginning of Covid19 these people didn't even bother to call, send a letter, email, smoke signal or anything to let us know she was gone! We both had yearly physicals scheduled in the next few weeks, called to confirm appointments and were told "oh so sorry, we forgot to tell you". There are no other MD's there that are accepting new adult patients and their only solution is to put the trust of our healthcare in a PA's hands. Unacceptable! Beware!
