I've used this optometrist for years for new glasses, covered on my insurance, but recently when I went in to have a prescription for simple bifocals filled, they showed me a selection of frames which exceeded my insurance allowance, telling me I'd have to pay the remainder out of pocket. I asked both the owner Robert, and the front desk person Aren't there any other frame options that would be covered? They said no this was all they had. So I said oh that's new but thank you, I will look elsewhere, and when I started to leave, it turned out they suddenly did have cheaper options in the back that they were now willing to show me. I asked why I wasn't told that before and he said well because if you don't like any of these, we have those others. I told him I didn't say I didn't like any of

Superior Vision Center Optical is Superior. The staff is both knowledgeable and courteous. The ophthalmologist carefully and confidently measured your eyes making sure he made an accurate reading. The woman who helped you choose your glasses with equally wonderful. She carefully measured the length and width of my eyes to make sure my glasses had the correct fit. She also aided me in choosing the best frame for my face and style. I found a yearly provider for my eye care.

Sat on my glasses and pretty much completely ruined them. Was going to order a new pair, but my frames have been discontinued. I did a quick search for eyeglass repair near me and this was the first place that popped up. Went down late in the afternoon recently and they fixed my glasses while I waited in about 5 minutes for $5! Very friendly and very helpful. My eye doctor is no where near NYC, so I believe I will be coming here for any future needs. Thrilled beyond belief with the service and repair.

I've always seen this optical while doing my errands and popped in one day to see if they could fix the nose piece on glasses. It broke off earlier in the day and I was in a panic. The lady in the front took my glasses to back and told yes they replace them. They were able fix them and they fit good as new. They even cleaned them for me. So I bought a eyewear cleaning set they had in the front too. Lady was friendly and chatted with me as I waited. I think I'll be coming here instead for my eyewear needs.

I went to Superior Vision Center for an annual check up but the doctor didn't even perform an automated refractor test. He barely examined my eyes. Disappointed! I wanted to change from Acuvue to Acuvue Oasys because I suffer from dried eyes. But he didn’t let me change it because he didn’t want to do extra work. It seems he doesn’t care about your vision health. He just wants the money from my insurance company. I won't go back to this place and don't recommend to anyone. It was a waste my money and time going there!!! I will file a complaint against this place to NYC and the insurance company.
