Super Care Drugs Pharmacy

While the pharmacist is friendly and seems helpful, the techs are phenomenally incompetent. I had interactions with three: one in person and two over the phone where each one seemed more lost than the next. First, the tech seemed confused about transferring my prescriptions. When I asked if my insurance was in network as a preferred provider, I got a blank stare and a “yes”. A few days ago a tech called to inform me that one was ready for pickup, when I inquired about the others, she became confused and had to ask the pharmacist. I was then told that they would require another week. I began running out of one script, so I called to see if it was ready and was told it would be “another week” - I informed the pharmacy tech that this script would not be covered for a 90-day supply. Such a better experience than dealing with cvs. They had the medication we needed in stock when cvs didn’t and were infinitely more pleasant to deal with (and they actually answer their phone!). Their little store has some cool stuff too if you need a gift for someone. I should’ve switched here a long time ago

The pharmacist helped me with a difficult prescription that CVS wouldn't try. The store is well-stocked and full of fun gifts.

I used this pharmacy for as long as I’ve lived in Malibu (2 decades). I didn’t mind paying extra surcharges & waiting 1-2 days for prescriptions that chain pharmacies had in stock because they USED to give me & my family the extra personalized care & service of a neighborhood pharmacy. They always fell short with insurance companies, and never worked hard to get anything approved (likely because they think Malibu residents don’t care if we have to pay)... but still they would mail me my prescriptions if I was out of town & I believed i was in good hands. Recently, the pharmacists who knew us so well all stopped working there & things really started to deteriorate. I think most people employed there now are just technicians (vs pharmacists).
