Sunrise Dental

I’ve been a patient at Sunrise Dental (Durham location, Dr. Hanson) for years. I have never had a complaint about the care I receive there. The staff is always professional and courteous. The dental assistants and hygienists are always friendly and open to answering any questions I have. The team at Sunrise really care about their patients and I highly recommend.

Dr Azzu at Sunrise on Renaissance Pkwy was recommended by our neighbor when we moved here. I ( age 68) and my husband ( 79) have been seeing her for 3 years now and we can’t sing her praises too highly. Also, staff and office excellent—professional, organized, friendly. We moved here from S Francisco—home to UCSF dental school ( believe it’s #2 in the U.S. and also to Univ of Pacific dental school—so there’s a dentist office every other block and the standard of care we’re used to is high. Dr Azzu is a delight to be near, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, available to her patients and—importantly—her rates are very fair. She never tries to talk you into having work done and—more than once, I have asked her questions that left the door open for her to try to “sell” me—but she never has. Example:

I always have had a great experience at Sunrise Dental. I have been a client for over 10 years and the entire staff is wonderful. They treat you like they really appreciate your business and they care about your health. When a decision is made about your treatment plan, they offer you serval options pertaining to your treatment. My husband is 60 years old and he never had a cavity. When he experience pain in his tooth, I took him to a well known dentist office and they immediately told him his tooth needed to be extracted. There were no other choices. I asked them why he wasn't offered any other options? I was told because he had bone lost. What does bone lost have to do with saving a tooth. I wasn't asking for an implant. I have Bad Dental phobia from past experiences in my youth So just the anticipation of an appt stresses me out. The staff is patient, caring, knowledgeable..
