Sumter Cut Rate Pharmacy and Diner

This is one of my most favorite lunches I would have as a kid. My mom would take me and I would get a grilled cheese. Today over 30 years later the grilled cheese is just like I remember it. The chicken salad is also a must but you have to go early as they often run out. This soda shop is a must go to if in downtown Sumter around lunch time.

Use this pharmacy since a kid trusted them to make sure they were doing their jobs properly. Wasn’t til this year I realized they were charging me co insurances when we’re suppose to. Make sure you tell them if you have a primary and secondary insurance to use them both. Spoke with the pharmacy manager for them to make it right Jay he did nothing but talk about the claims that went through both my insurances. I explained to him that was after I had to tell yall and yall also have a note on my account to do so. Which is not right it’s almost common sense if a patient has 2 insurances run them both patient is last payer source.

Cute inside and staff are friendly but they were veryyyy slow. Don’t go here if you are strapped for time. The turkey club a regular sandwich. Just two pieces, not 4 like normal. It was pretty tasty but not what you would think. They use deli meat instead of real shaved turkey. I probably could have made the sandwich myself for a fraction of the cost. It was almost $11 and didn’t include fries or a drink.

Very underwhelming, had breakfast there not long ago, 5 eggs, bacon, toast and coffee, it was a little pricey compared to my regular Wafflehouse visit, shocking to me, started getting a prescription filled here, first customer there, 4 people back there, actually took alot longer then it should have. Im just hoping thats not the norm. We will see next trip, but no $22 breakfast for me, with tip.

Best chicken salad ever. Sometimes they are out which makes me sad. Tried other places in Sumter, none compare.
