Suffolk OBGYN: Bay Shore

I've been a patient of Dr. Ricketts for just about a year. Her location is roughly 40min. From my home, that being said, the patient care, warm, calm, relaxed and progressive demeanor Dr. Ricketts delivers is worth the trip. Forward thinking patient care is very important to me. The staff is wonderful... Met with nurse practitioner yesterday, also; equally fabulous with super bed side manner. I love the calm vibe in the office.. Jules is excellent, super friendly and has GREAT Hair!! Wink. The staff in the office is fantastical!!!! Highly recommend!!! Lillian was very polite and helpful. Being it be my first pregnancy she was very patient with me and my fiancé. I will say I will never do lab work NEVER AGAIN at the bayshore location. Elizabeth had no idea what she was doing. As a phlebotomist myself I tried to not say much to her so I didnt make her nervous but due to me being a hard stick with very THIN veins, so I simply suggested she used a different needle (she was prepared to use a 21G) and where exactly to stick me to get a perfect flow. Elizabeth didn’t even properly palpate to locate the direction of my vein. She fished in my arm causing me excessive discomfort, pain and a leaving a hematoma. If I didn’t scream for the whole office to hear me for assistances ,she would have continued fishing in my arm with no worry. I had t

I was planning a home birth as this is baby number 4 for me. Then I tragically lost my fiance and scrambled to find an OBGYN at almost 6 months gestation. I read reviews and found doctor Rickkets I was hopeful based on the google reviews. My first visit went well with Dr. Rickkets she was warm and caring and sensitive to my situation as it had only been almost a week since my fiance passed. She assured me that they were there for me if there was anything that I needed. Given that I was pregnant and was going through such a tragedy I would think that my chart would be notated as this has an extreme effect on my current mental state and wellbeing which all has an effect on my baby. Iam not a patient for this facility but my daughter is and I was present and witness the disrespect, uncaring rude behavior from the midwife my daughter received at her appointment My daughter is 6 month pregnant. Just lost her fiance 2 weeks ago. And as soon as we followed the midwife into the room. Midwife asked how my daughter was doing, my daughter responded ok, midwife responded again, i asked you a question are you going to answer me, my daughter said I did. I said ok.
