Stormont Vail Hospital - Flint Hills

The hospital and the medical services are fine. I have had to have blood drawn here a couple of times and it has been fast and efficient and the people are nice. I had a colonoscopy here in October and the procedure itself was a great experience. Everyone was very nice and it went well and was just fine. The billing part, on the other hand leaves a lot to be expected. So far, twice I have been billed for the full amount, over 1000 dollars! I about had a heart attack as I was not expecting to pay anything at all as it was a screening. The first time, they did not submit it to my insurance, the second time, they did not submit it correctly. I came in the ER and got asked 5 times why I’m there. Then they gave no explanation of my results and all they did was check my urine, and “everything is good” On top of that.. one nurse came in and obviously I was in pain laying down.. she says “can you get up” I remained silent and she says “unless your comfortable laying down” no kidding Sherlock.. of course I’m comfortable laying down in the emergency room. And all that to ask me for the 5th time.. “what brings you in today?” Just ridiculous!! And no bloodwork was done at all. Don’t come here!! They are doing the motions here with no heart or care in the world.

People please don't go to this hospital in Junction city, they are the worst, my kid had a bike accident a couple years ago, she was 12 back then, she was taking there, they claimed that they did 3 CT scan test where she had the accident and the results were that not foreign body was found, they didn't clean her or flush her, the surgeon when he was doing the stitches (about 30) didn't clean her properly before performing the stitches, he was sweating, the room was warm and he had get out of the room and come back because how warm was there, he did such a crap job, then two months later she had a bad infection in the wound area I took her to the pediatrician in Manhattan and they did a CT scan and found a few foreign bodies , then we had to take her to Children Mercy hospital had a surger

If I could give this place zero stars I would the nurses here dont deserve to be nurses very rude they don't care about how u feel they come in for two. Seconds and leave and while leaving they slam ur room door my husband has been here twice due to issues with chrones disease both the one here and in Topeka suck if u can go. Some where else where ur actually cared about I wouldn't bring my dying horse here if I was payed a million bucks never again

On 5/5/25, I was admitted to Stormont Vail Hospital in Junction City. I had congestive heart failure and double pneumonia. I was 100% sure I was going to die! The health care team at Stormont went above and beyond to care for me and I can't be more grateful! If it wasn't for Dr Hazbun, Im sure I would have died. He coordinated all specialists and arranged consultations. He kept us apprised of all developments and drug treatments. By the fourth day, he had me out of the woods. Some minor tweaks and he was able to send me home. Feeling better than I have in a long time!!! God bless Dr Hazbun!
