Stony Brook Advanced Pediatric Care

As a first time mom, I brought my infant in A LOT. They always have availability, and make sure my daughter is seen same day. They always showed attentiveness and concern for everyone of my concerns, silly or not. I love that they have separate rooms for well visits and sick visits. The doctors and Physician assistants return calls quickly and offer much support over the phone when visits are not necessary. We usually see Maria, the PA. She gives a very thorough exam each and every time. She is very knowledgeable and definitely our favorite. The office is always immaculant. Staff is friendly, and makes my daughter very comfortable. I very much recommend this pediatricians office.

Recently had a terribly experience here. I have been coming here since my daughter was born and had nothing but good experiences. All the nurses and doctors I have seen have been wonderful up until this appointment. I had a PA named Linda Wynne, who I had never seen before. This was for a 12 month check up. I had questions about the vaccines and what was in them. She had to go look up the information about what was in the vaccines which was totally fine. What I didn’t like was her response to my questions. She did not give me much info about the vaccines, only that she has been doing this for x amount of years and she recommended them. That does not put me at ease. And then wanted my decision on getting them or not with her standing half in the room and half out of the room. I’m

Don’t normally leave reviews, however- this has been my office since i was a baby. Recently, I have been able to notice how horrible this place is. Particularly Maria, most unwelcoming, made sure to make it known they only accept until 21, meanwhile I am just newly 20. Upon arriving to my appointment, Maria did not welcome me with a greeting but instead immediately made it known that the bloodwork i had done, half of which she could “not understand” and has “never seen before” nor could she arrive to general conclusions about. Additionally, for roughly a 10 lb weight loss over the course of a year, she decided to ask me extremely detailed questions focused towards anorexia/eating disorders. Tried to get our sick son in on a Friday. They didn't answer their phones all morning. In the afternoon staff showed no concern for my son. Woman at the reception desk was SO rude. She told us our son couldn't be seen until Monday. Definitely more interested in starting their weekend than tending to a child's health.

Have been taking my children here for 10 years. My boys love Maria and I always feel very comfortable with her treating my kids.
