We professional people work there, from the front window to the exam rooms. The optical part is always busy. Ve sure get an appointment before pick up your glasses.

My teenager lost her glasses and was due for an exam and glasses in a few months so I contacted Dr. Steed’s office to obtain my daughter’s pupil distance measurement so I could order a cheap pair online until the exam. They refused to give me my own child’s PD measurement that my insurance paid for. I used an app to do the measurement and went into Dr. Steed’s office to see if they would at least tell me if the measurement was close. They seemed to think it was funny to play games and say “Ummm that is close, but not accurate.” While they were looking at it right on the screen. I called around and Stanton Optical was willing to do the measurement for free whether we purchased glasses there or not. They allowed me to have the measurement. I was so impressed and happy. I decided to go ahead

This was my 6-year-old daughter’s first eye exam, and the whole experience was fantastic. We were seen right away, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone did a wonderful job working with children. Dr. Steed made sure she had a positive first experience by being patient, kind, and helping her feel comfortable. He also took the time to explain her eyesight to me and how to manage her eyeglasses wear. My daughter is excited about her new glasses and is already looking forward to her next check-up. I highly recommend this office to any family looking for excellent care for their little ones.

It’s best if you just get the prescription and get glasses somewhere else . This is the second pair of glasses i get my 6yr old. paid overall price $252 on Nov21.2025 . Fastward to now , the arm broke off took them into the office. Got a call from the admin staff who said that they no longer make the frame and if i want a new pair i would have to pay! Ridiculous right! the only reason i get glasses at their office because im under the impression that they have good warranty policies. Instead of them trying to find a solution for me, her solution was for me to pay more ! I’m not paying one more penny out of my pocket. I’ll be taking my business and kids to other place now. Sad for my kids they really like getting their check ups my Dr . steed .

I have read a few not so kind reviews of the Steed Family Eyecare office and wonder if those instances were related to someone just having an off day. (You know we all have them!) There has never been a time that anyone has been unkind, unprofessional and/or rude during my appointments. My opinion is that sometimes stepping back and just being kind helps those questionable moments. Maybe an approach of, “You seem to be having an off day.” might change the atmosphere for everyone concerned. I think the staff members are sweet, accommodating and very knowledgeable with every appointment I have had! Thank you Steed Family Eyecare for making all my visits pleasant, informative and friendly.
