St. Peter's Laboratory

I visited St. Peter’s Lab in Cohoes today, Friday around 2:40 pm, just 20 minutes before closing, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The phlebotomist on duty—a warm, professional woman with a pleasant demeanor (possibly of Caribbean descent)—handled everything flawlessly. Even as a couple more patients came in right after me, she managed us all with patience, grace, and incredible efficiency. She drew 5–6 vials of blood for me, and I barely felt a thing. You can immediately tell she’s experienced and takes pride in doing her job well while keeping patients comfortable. I’ve noticed a few negative reviews, but based on what I experienced, the phlebotomist at this location deserves recognition for her patience, expertise, and excellent customer service. This place is gone downhill in the last 6mo… the clerk/nurse/whatever is on a personal video call talking to daughter/sister, not sure but is holding vials of blood at her desk for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile we are 9 deep in the waiting room. So messed up and unprofessional. She's telling everybody that she is from a 3rd world country. Should this matter? Hoping she is qualified to process our information and hospital protocol.

The lack of help is atrocious! I went there on 2 occasions, first occasion receptionist said order is not here? I seen my Dr send it over, go again and they are telling me it’s completed? How can it be completed when I have not had blood drawn. Sadly this was a stat order that was needed as I had asthma attack!! Very dissapointed!!

St. Peter's Laboratory at 55 Mohawk St, Cohoes, NY, has some areas that need improvement. The office was quite disorganized, with delivery packages scattered everywhere. There were an overwhelming number of posters, notices, and announcements on every wall and glass surface, many of which contained typos. The office was staffed by only one employee who was responsible for check-ins, paperwork, receiving deliveries, and drawing blood. Despite the heavy workload, the employee was patient, attentive, kind, and efficient. She managed to multitask without getting flustered, which was impressive. However, the office was not fully stocked, and the employee had to search through unopened delivery boxes to find the necessary supplies, even in the middle of drawing blood. This was quite concerning

Patrick from the prior post was spot on. Same thing is happening to me right now but im alone here. This place is a joke. For a person who in the health care field and praises the Loard so much you would think she would at least say hi to a person. Been sitting here for ten minutes and nobody has greated me. She just asked me if I was my father becuase she put the wrong birth date in. I wouldn't mind but seeing he is 30yrs older then me you think that would have raised a flag to her?? I dnt think I look that old. I think I'm on the show punked?? Is Ashton Kutcher going to pop out?? She will get her attitude adjusted when her or her family gets treated like the way she treats people or when she gets to the pearly gates and she can't get in. Need to do more for people then just sing hims.
