I started seeing an endocrinologist at this practice about six months ago and absolutely loved my doctor. Unfortunately, they recently retired, and I was automatically assigned to a new doctor without being asked for my preference. After meeting the new doctor and learning more about my diagnosis, I realized another doctor within the same practice—a DO—would be a better fit for the treatment approach I’m seeking. When I requested to switch, I was told it’s against office policy to allow patients to change doctors. After speaking with the office manager, she confirmed that this is the doctors’ preference. Went to office today to get a soon appointment Patient having a new problem and was told rudely by front desk his appointment is October keep that and need anything goes to the ER. My husband was at the er 5/27 and did CT/A. Was negative. He Spoke to Shannon Thompson she thinks maybe neuropathy in face. He was seen ny PCP on 5/28 they ordered MRI of brain along with referral to Neurologist. They indicated maybe 4 months. The way he was treated.by the front end staff was today inappropriate and very unprofessional. He is very concerned and worried. I have been seeing ShannonThompson, PA for almost 15 years and I followed her from AMC to St. Peter's because her care is outstanding. She asks how my kids are and she genuinely cares for my overall well-being, not just what I'm there to be seen for. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Block in the past and she is equally amazing.

I needed to see an endocrinologist this year urgently. I was able to get an appt the following day! Dr Usmani was so pleasant and caring. Months later, she still will check in about bloodwork and my health. I would highly recommend her and it is worth the drive to see her. I appreciate all her time and wonderful bedside.

I've been going there for the last 4 years. I will give it 3 stars because I love the PA Shannon - the first and only person in my 3 years of seeking help who diagnosed my hashimotos thyroiditis. I went from doctor to doctor for my fatigue and brain fog , none of whom seemed to know the right tests to do, based on my symptoms or didn't interpret the test results although they were obvious. Shannon knew right away, diagnosed and treated me, suggesting gluten free diet. I feel so much better now. She is great about responding to questions on the patient portal. However, I am considering changing endocrinologists, sadly leaving Shannon, because I can no longer get through to make an appointment or reach anyone and the office staff in CP is barely civil.
