St. Joseph's University Medical Center Hospital's Parking Lot

Paterson town is mostly stereotyped by a lot of people who just don't know how to separate a good from any bad. I have not been there as a patient but took someone for a small procedure as outpatient. My experience was not bad at all. Lobby staff greeted us warmly. Guided us to patient registration. Gave us a printed map to follow. Once the patient was taken in, you can see the live status of your patient's ID # on a TV in the waiting area. It tells you when your loved one is in pre-op, in surgery, in recovery room and when they are ready to be picked up. Staff will take you to the recovery room. Paid Parking garage is on the campus. It has 7 floors. Keep driving until you find a spot. Keep the parking stub with you if you are told that hospital will validate it. If they validate it, th

My fiance has been in this hospital for over 2 weeks now. He arrived with a work related serious injury multiple surgeries. At this time he's not mobile making it hard for him to do thing's for himself, which makes him rely only on the medical staff that obviously can't do a simple job to just check on him periodically. When was I there with him it took hours before actually seeing the nurse come by even pressing the nurse button. Honestly I don't recommend this hospital.

Parking at this place is a money making racket. And they though they can do it because nobody wants to park on the street anywhere near the hospital. They even charge you for valet, which is usually complimentary at every other hospital I've visited in my entire life. Charging people so much to visit their sick loved ones is disgraceful.
