The nurses both in the Er and the main floor were amazing. They always had a smile and were calm and understanding during the whole stay that my husband did. I was very pleased with the care they provided.

The ER physician was excellent, fast, thorough, and cautious. She ordered the right tests immediately and had results moving within an hour. I appreciated her attention and care. The moment the shift changed to 7 AM–7 PM, everything fell apart. Communication became nonexistent. And in a hospital, that’s unacceptable. I understand staff are busy. I respect that. But being busy is not an excuse for silence. If you don’t know something, say you don’t know. If you don’t have time to update a family, say that. Patients and their families should never have to beg for information. Someone who is septic should never be left without monitors, period. Stable vitals in the ER do not mean stable vitals for the next several hours. It takes almost no effort to set up a monitor, yet it was never done.

My daughter visited the Springfield Hospital Emergency Department, Sunday March 10, 2024, we had a very positive experience from registration to discharge! Everyone was so friendly and attentive, we were in/out in less than 2 hours! My daughter’s nurse Liza was absolutely amazing, Cody was great, even shared X-Ray images with my daughter, Heather came by several times, we enjoyed her great conversation. My daughter ended up with a fractured growth plate in her ankle from a wrestling injury on Saturday and continuing to wrestle the whole weekend!! Dr. Cantu in orthopedics saw her first thing Monday morning, he had her casted and headed to school in no time! We appreciated the care and friendliness of the entire staff!!

Upon arrival in the emergency room last night, I was greeted with the utmost professionalism. Everybody took the time to sit with me, get me checked in and provide excellent treatment. The entire staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and my experience was most warming.

Nurses at this facility are some of the best, the doctors don't listen to the patient and the social worker was neither social nor professional. I was discharged in excruciating pain and intense bleeding in the urinary tract.
