I cannot say enough amazing things about Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology (SCAN) and Dr. Jenna Lind. My Greyhound, Hammond, suddenly declined and was in excruciating pain, unable to walk, and despite everything my regular vet tried, he wasn’t improving. SCAN worked him into their schedule the very same day—even though they’re not an emergency clinic—and stayed late to perform his MRI, which showed a severe C6-7 herniation requiring complex surgery. Dr. Lind and her entire team went above and beyond. Greyhounds are uniquely challenging patients, and Hammond’s surgery and recovery had unexpected complications, but they never gave up on him. Dr Lind and Amber are absolute angels. I truly believe if we had gone anywhere else we wouldn't have our sweet girl anymore. Dr Lind was very direct and gave us SO much of her time and was incredibly thorough with every step. We unfortunately weren't candidates for surgery. However, through Dr Lind and Amber's guidance I was able to be everything my pup needed to survive. They gave so much compassion love and energy to us during such a devastating time and helped us to be able to confidently care for our newly paralyzed dog. All while pretty much wiping my tears! From thinking it was time to say goodbye to our baby, to her new wheels and lease on life, the scan team has been an absolute BLESSING!! Thank you all so much ❤️

This has been the most attentive place I have ever been to. My dog got diagnosed with stage 5 IVDD recently and it has been a very difficult time for our family. SCAN has been extremely caring, understanding, and professional. I don't know how I would've navigated this experience without SCAN. Dr Laifer is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us so much. I drove 3 hours to come here and it was so worth it. I would 100% do it again if I knew I would get this level of attentive care and guidance. Anytime I have any questions, the staff are so helpful and get back to me so quickly. SCAN has been a lifesaver. I recommend this location to anyone that has a pet with neurological needs. I am so grateful to have your help. My dog is doing awesome now and I couldn't thank SCAN enough.

I can’t even begin to say how incredible SCAN is. They got us in within a day of calling & had a same day MRI. We had answers to mystery problem and an immediate plan of action. Dr Laifer, you are such an incredible veterinarian & surgeon. I was hysterical throughout this entire process from consult to getting the call that my boy made it through surgery and you handled all of my questions and tears with empathy and patience. You went above and beyond with extra testing to ensure our senior boy was getting exactly what he needed. You left no box unchecked and thoroughly explained everything both the how’s and whys. SCAN has been absolutely wonderful! From agreeing to see our dog Colby on a Friday afternoon, to doing emergency surgery till 8pm the same night, and constantly updating us on how he is doing. We could not have asked for a better team to take care of our baby. All of our questions & more were answered and we felt at ease. Colby is doing amazing and it is all due to the wonderful team at SCAN. Colby went from being partially paralyzed on Friday to up & walking less than 48 hours post surgery. The team is amazing & big shout out to Christina & Dr. Cook. Everyone was super friendly & professional but also loving to our baby. Wouldn't change a thing!
