Southwell Medical

The staff is absolutely wonderful, we have been coming to visit a family member for over a year now at this facility. The biggest complaint I have is it ALWAYS smells like feces/raw sewage out front of the building. We figured after a month or so Southwell would have this fixed, however tonight Nov. 28th 2025 the smell was so strong walking to the building that it literally gagged us. This seriously seems as if it would be a Health Code Violation, but to mention how unsanitary this is.

I had an outpatient surgery on my foot and could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone from the receptionist to the anesthesiologist were attentive and engaging with me. I never felt like they were rushed and couldn’t take the needed time with me. I would not hesitate to use the facility again.

I took my cousin to get a small surgery and, I had to set and wait for him. I decided to go down to their Spice of Life Cafe they have the best food for great prices. This is one the hospital I've been too that food tatse like restaurant. The staff in Café is always patient and friendly. The nurses and desk help staff are very nice. That's Adel Baby!

Today was my first visit to Southwell Medical /Day Surgery Center, in Adel! From registration, to discharge, every employee we encountered, was outstanding, friendly, and professional!! And shout out to Dr. Ward, and special thanks to Dr. Nick for getting that difficult IV!! And to everyone, you rock! Thanks to you all for making a not so fun day, a lot better! I would give you all a 10, if I could!!

..This was the worst experience ever!!! We were sent to Adel because Tifton was backed up. When we got there he drank the liquid to have a CT Scan. He was supposed to go back in 1.5 and 4 hours later they did the scan. We kept asking for help and the only person in the waiting room was a security guard. My husband was taken back and there was trash from the person before him where they had did her iv still on the floor. Then the tech tried to insert the contrast in the iv with the tie off still on his arm. After the scan was over he told us we were good to go. My husband had to ask if he could remove the iv from his arm so he could leave. Will never do this again!!!!
