Simply reviewing the Center, billing, and aftercare. This has no reflection on our surgeon, who we hold in high regard and did an excellent job. Issues with the Center and billing practices. The Surgery Center expects you to pay any remaining deductible you have out of pocket the morning of surgery. Fine. However, double check your claims and remaining amount PRIOR to that day. I called to double check and verify our out of pocket expense, and they quoted me almost double the amount I was currently looking at on my insurance's portal. When I told them the amount I was seeing, they placed me on hold and verified with a manager and then returned and told me the amount I provided was accurate and what they expected the day-of. While my daughter’s ear tube surgery itself went smoothly, the billing experience has been a nightmare. After a consultation at NCEENT - Cary, we agreed that tubes were the best option and were referred to South Point Surgery Center. We were told to expect a co-pay of over $1,000, which we paid. However, we were then hit with five additional bills totaling more than $2,000—far beyond what was communicated. The most upsetting part? We later discovered that the referring doctor is a part owner of South Point Surgery Center, a conflict of interest that was never disclosed. We feel misled and taken advantage of. The lack of transparency here is extremely disappointing and has eroded our trust completely.

Had a very good experience for my son’s tonsillectomy. Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and supportive. We were well informed of his progress during the surgery. No issues with regards to billing or insurance.

I had TKR on 2/18/2025, and while my surgical experience was good, the customer service experience has been horrible. I am owed a credit for a facility fee in the amount of $1000 that was later covered by insurance. I have called the surgical center numerous times and selected multiple prompts on their automated message, hoping to reach a live person to answer the phone. No one ever answers, and I have had to leave multiple voicemail messages for which I have received zero response. Guess I will now have to waste more time driving over there to see if anyone is actually working! It would be nice to have my money back! Clearly, their billing department is lacking.

I had an ACL surgery yesterday at Southpoint surgery center. Every person i encountered from check in to discharge was unbelievably kind, transparent, and professional. I was nervous going in, but they made it easy, especially Pam, who took great care of me before my surgery. The standard of care, cleanliness, and kindness at Southpoint made all the difference in the world for me. Thank you.
