Southpoint Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

I stayed at Southpointe Rehab for a little over a month due to foot surgery. I was very anxious due to the fact I had never had to go to a facility like this. I will say it was actually amazing! My nurses were so good to me even though they have many patients to tend to. They were there always to help me. The doctor on staff here was excellent as well. He was very attentive to all my needs. My wound care specialist came by promptly to attend to my wound so the healing process would go good which it has. The CNA’s were kind and attentive and ALWAYS so helpful to me even if I just needed a pep talk. My Phydical Therapy team was fantastic! I was VERY unmotivated and they stayed on me daily and got me out of bed and into the gym so I could get better. I absolutely LOVED THEM!! The only negativ

What an amazing facility. The whole nursing team provided excellent care and compassion to my Aunt. The therapy team got her back up on her feet walking within a few weeks. They are professional, kind and she enjoyed being there. She was able to return home and she left happier and stronger. The social worker is amazing and she does excellent discharge planning and provides great care to her patients and families. We are so grateful to Southpoint rehab and so glad we chose them for her rehabilitation.

Our family's experience at Southpoint Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on Fayetteville Street was truly excellent. After a fall, our mother required a couple of weeks of inpatient therapy, and we were filled with anxiety about her recovery. From the moment we started the intake process, the team at Southpoint was professional, efficient, and reassuring. This high level of care continued through her many sessions with the talented and dedicated physical therapy staff, all the way to discharge day. The team treated my mom and our entire family with respect and kindness. We always felt relieved knowing the care she was receiving was the best. They were always there to answer our many questions and helped alleviate the stress and anxiety that go along with the unknown outcome from a trauma

Nursing staff in need of training. Patient care on the rehabilitation unit I would rate 2 out of 10. If a family member or friend is not on site with their lived one, good luck. The nurses will only come to check on them when it's time to administer medication...anything else you will have to go find one. There are a couple who are genuinely concerned and attentive. The PT staff was great but they could also benefit from additional training. I should not have to advise them on the best methods of therapy and exercises. There were rooms that had no hot water until late afternoon, patients go all day without a bath and linen change. Food trays were delivered without silverware for the patients. The nurse/aide would become agitated if you questioned them about it. You will have to be hand

Coming into this facility, I was apprehensive about the healthcare system. However, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the staff's attention to detail and management of my complex medical needs. They made a difference not only in my health, but my outlook on healthcare. The therapy department is great, the way the interact with patients shows they really care and attend to the unique needs of their patients.
