Solaris Healthcare Waterman

The therapy team is top notch, they gently push you to do a little more every day. That’s where it ends. Social service (care workers) team is laughable, nice to your face but that’s where it ends. Things seemed to “fall through the cracks” As far as food, unless your room is close to the kitchen, it’s served cold. They seem to “run out of food”. At one point my family member was served a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner because they ran out of food!! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN when everyone fills out their dinner menu the day before???? Not sure what changed in 2 years but it has definitely gotten worse from last time a family member was there!

My significant other has been here since before last Thanksgiving. She is happy here. The staff is very nice to her. The staff cares about her and she cares about the staff. It’s been about three weeks since I posted last. We have had volleyball twice. It is tiring, but the residents love it. We also did ring toss and passing rings down a line of residents. This was fun and not as demanding as volleyball. We had floor hockey too, which I missed, but I was told my honey is great at it. For Fashion Week, they had residents and their guests model on a red carpet runway. It was fun as people really hammed it up. We had the Fall Family Dinner. See photo and menu. The food was great. This was an AWESOME experience. Staff was courteous & professional. Everywhere was clean and not cluttered. One bed rooms were very nicely laid out. Beautiful sitting areas inside and outside. Would definitely recommend and keep in mind if I ever needed this service!

Solaris Healthcare Waterman is a most excellent facility. Every person we encountered from administration to janitorial and everyone in between were dedicated to taking the best care of my Father that was possible.

So far my nephew is having a good experience at Solaris. He’s not crazy about all the food but lunch came while I was there and it looked and smelled great. He is younger than most of the patients but the place is clean and employees seem nice. I’ll know more by the end of his stay in a few weeks.
