Solaris HealthCare Parkway

Hi, my mom, Sylvia, passed away about a month ago. She was in Solaris Rehab, Solaris Nursing Home, and then the Memory Care. Her stay there was a total of about three years. Let me begin by telling you that not only did Solaris save my mother‘s life, but they saved my life, as her daughter and caregiver. I honestly feel like there are angels on this earth and many of them are working in Solaris. I am so appreciative of the tender, loving care that my mom received, it is not easy! As a caretaker and a daughter, who was there all the time, I see the reality of an overwhelming job! People fail to remember that the staff is made up of human beings, who are without a doubt, the most special people, to care for our loved ones at a time when they have lost their way. DO NOT GO HERE. My mother fractured her pelvis and had to spend two weeks here trying to recover. The average time after pressing the help button was a half hour, sometimes longer. Dr. Ahmad Fadel was supposed to be in charge of her care and has shown nothing but negligence. We were able to get her released to in home care and she was supposed to be prescribed 2 medications for pain as well as another. He never filled the prescriptions and after several days of calling phone numbers given to us by Solaris for this Dr, we never received a call back. Finally we reached the "head nurse" who first said they won't write new prescriptions because my mother was released over two weeks ago (false, it marks one week since she was released), then she stated she was never supposed to be prescribed an

I would not recommend this facility for memory care. In my experience, the care in the locked unit has been consistently poor, and residents’ basic needs often go unmet. I have personally found my mother sitting in a soiled brief hours after lunch, and I have observed residents left alone in the dining room for long periods. It is heartbreaking to see people treated without dignity. On more than one occasion, I discovered my mother sleeping in another resident’s bed in a man’s room and staff were aware she was there but did not remove her. It’s no wonder that they have experienced scabies. I also observed a resident face down on a dining room table in his own drool for hours while staff walked by. As the daughter and a daily visitor of a resident mentioned in an earlier review, I can attest to the quality of care that my mom receives at Solaris healthcare Parkway. She has been a resident for the past four years and we are very satisfied.

Was at rehab and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and better. Carol and Sandra were especially helpful and kind. Staff was professional. Therapy has helped me to be able walk again and go home. Sherry helped encourage me to walk, she was so patient and kind. I wish that they had fresh fruit, whole wheat bread , and yogurt in the morning. My room was spacious. I felt comfortable here with results. Staff was supportive and helped me mentally. Denise the night time aid was very helpful, payed attention to detail and gave me a great shower.
