I have been a Type One Diabetic for ten years and I have seen many doctors to help me with my care. Never in those ten years have I had as much trouble with getting basic medical care. I have not been able to get the correct prescriptions from the doctors in this practice a single time. They do not seem to care if you have the medicine you need.

The doctors there are wonderful, and the nurses that I deal with on a regular basis are great. Their nursing team is TERRIBLE about taking notes. I need my refills early at times due to my work schedule and living out of town One nurse is always very rude like I am drug seeking or something. They are highly unorganized and do not put notes in when they say they will. My actual doctor knows that I need my meds early (which is still within the time window 24-48 hours) and he does it. If I ask anyone else it never gets done and I have to call back and forth and sound like an idiot. I want to quit going here because I am tired of it!!

I switched my primary care to SIU about a year ago, best decision I have ever made concerning my health care. Im a bit of a complicated patient with a list of issues. Every provider, nurse, receptionist and lab all are very accommodating and always treat my concerns with the most respect. The providers never make you feel rushed at appointments and listen to every concern as though it is critical. I had put off going to drs and follow ups after dealing with some not so carring rude providers. i would leave crying with no answers and even more questions. The team at SIU is top notch our community is so very lucky and blessed to have them. If your looking for a dr look no forward, make an appt today before winter season crud hits. It took me almost 3 hours to get a physical done, the doctor (Emmanuel Ohaa) didn’t even do the physical on a real physical form and he tried to make me wait another 30 minutes just to get one filled out, so I left with nothing and had to come back the next day for the non-traditional form because this doctor doesn’t know what he’s doing. The physical form doesn’t even have on there what my job needed so I had to do it again somewhere else.The staff are all very weird and invade on privacy of life that has nothing to do with your medical issues. They will waste your time by talking to other patients about irrelevant things and will not care how long other patients are waiting. This place needs more structure and better management. I will never come back and will tell others not to as well.

Dr. Leung has been polite as well as knowledgeable. Alex the phlebotomist (right word?) got my vein on first try! Receptionists were okay. I am reasonably satisfied with this clinic.
