Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I am not going to run the risk of unintentionally forgetting to give a shout out to someone who was / is instrumental in my recovery from my surgery. EVERYONE was so nice and knowledgeable about their role / job in the facility. There are some who I would love to thank more than others, but I feel like each person put forth their best efforts. The PT / OT department were / ARE great. Taking care of not only my main reason for being there, but also being mindful of the other issues that I have been trying to remedy. Overall I will give the staff and their services a 15 out of 10 (that's right. ABOVE AND BEYOND).

My mother has been a resident in the Memory Care Unit for the past two years. I visit her at least 3x per week and can vouch for the impressive care she receives from the staff. Rosealba, the head nurse, is very loving and attentive. She even shops online with my mother for clothes that mom likes and tells me so I can purchase what mom likes. Very few people would take the time to do that; I'm certain it's not in the job description. The second shift staff–especially Michelle and Nicole are exemplary. They talk and dance with the residents to make the unit feel more like home. Hats off to a wonderful group of people.

I wanted to share our recent experience with Genesis Sinking Spring. Overall it has been an exceptional experience. Their communication is out of this world. My mom from day one has been so happy with her rehab stay and couldn’t say enough how happy she was this is where she ended up to rehab after a recent surgery and hospital stay. My family is so happy with her care and I want to say if you have any reservations about placing your family here don’t the entire staff, nursing, PT, OT, social worker have been nothing short of amazing.

For the most part my stay at Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation was a positive experience. There were some minor issues with having the nurses respond when you rang the bell and getting my meds on time. I believe that the unit that I was on the staff did a really good job. They definitely could use more help on this particular unit as it is a very demanding unit. All in all, it was a positive experience. Also, the unit was very clean. My major complaint is the food. Not appealing at all.l

I was recently there with my Mother, who uses a walker. While there, her walker wheels quit working. We met the MOST AMAZING Maintenance Man, David DeSantis, who was so kind to us, especially my Mother! He fixed the wheels on her walker and tightened the breaks. That gentleman was so helpful and I hope Management realizes that he definitely deserves the best!! All the residents love him!
