Dr. Tan is a great doctor and a gentleman amongst gentleman. Patient, professional and personable. After years of being misdiagnosed as having a phantom pain in my lower back. Enduring years of ridicule, in both my professional and personal life, as my lower body strength and libido had been slowly affected for years. After every negative result, he never quit on me like everyone else did. And after six more MRIs, Dr Tan finally found a pocket of fluid on my spine, called a Tarlof cyst the size of a grapefruit, surrounded by the nerve cluster and pressing against my spine. Dr. Simon Tan is an excellent Neuro physician. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate and has great bedside manners. He has managed my Vertigo conservatively and minimal medications as I've requested. He utilizes Physical Therapy services to help and has been a life saver! Wow, we are so impressed with Dr. Tan!! My husband is an Army veteran that experiences terrible migraines, PTSD, back pain, you name it. He also suffers from traumatic brain injury due to injuries during several deployments. Dr. Tan is the most caring doctor we have ever met. I have been going to see Dr.Tan for a few years now since my admission to Baylor hospital for seizure disorder. Dr.Tan noticed immediately that I might have another condition besides my seizures. He made the arrangements to get my blood tested for Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis (HPP). It is a rare disorder and can be missed if a doctor does not pay close attention. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive! My migraines are so much better as well! Thank you 😊
