I haven't had a filling in 28 years and had a tooth break. I had recently moved out of state from Galveston but just didn't want to have my first crown done with a new dentist. So, I flew back to Galveston so someone I trusted; Dr Blankenship, could do my first crown. Naturally, I was nervous and dreaded it since I've never had this procedure done. I was absolutley amazed!! Not only did I NOT feel anything while he numbed the tooth, but the entire prep procedure I didn't feel a thing. The impressions of the tooth were done digitally so no gooey stuff either. The second visit of seating the crown I was shocked at how well the tooth fit. No adjustments for my bite were needed and when I flew home my husband couldn't tell which tooth had the crown because it matched so well. The entire e

First visit to Shoreline. I have never looked forward to dentist visits but this wonderful group of folks made me feel comfortable and at ease.

We have used Dr. Blankenship and his staff for over 25 years and we drive quite a distance to go there. He has been top notch on every procedure and reasonable with what needs to be done. Our sons (now grown) and our family have had fillings, root canals, crowns, and even an implant. All done to perfection! They are the best!!

Awesome every time! All the procedures done quick and professional! The place is very clean overall with a nice little waiting area. Dr. Blankenship is always making sure to answer all the questions I may have. Not to mention I’ve had a “dentist phobia” since I was 7 - NOT ANYMORE! I'm in Galveston on vacation with 2 temporary crowns, which both fell off (of course!), and one broke into pieces. Won't be back to my home dentist for over 2 weeks, and I was completely unable to chew solid food. I called Shoreline Family Dentistry this morning, and they fit me in right away. I feel so lucky to have found them! Dr. Blankenship fit me with a new temporary crown, which actually feels way better than the original one I had and is made from something different that won't break. He also re-cemented my other temporary that was still intact. Everyone in the office from the front desk to the dental assistant to the dentist himself were so kind and reassuring, during a really stressful situation for me.
