Everyone knows the NP who does the bare minimum that acts like a know it all with terrible bedside manners. They are quick to write a prescription and kick you out. Then there is Shawn Dearie! He’s AWESOME! He takes care of several of my family members including myself. We absolutely love the care he provides everyone and would never even consider going anywhere else for our care. His attention to detail, explanations, and overall knowledge is exceptional. He will always make sure you have the time needed to fully understand everything and you never feel rushed. He is a hidden gem in this town and I hope he never leaves. Also, his support staff is absolutely wonderful, especially Ms. Kat. She always greets you with a smile, very professional and always willing to go above and beyond when

Shawn-Don’t go! Independence has never has anything good until you. Now Walmart, big stores, tractor supply, and if we did it’s closed down now- Proably from the high Taxes use Poor Independence People pay which is the highest Parish in the state. Anyway- The entire town loves you and we hate to see you go. North Oaks will lose every patient from that clinic and I wish we knew who to complain too. From the Mayor to the retired people and everyone in between. We all loved how you took care of each one of use, getting to know your patients made us feel great even with a fever. All for North Oaks to be more worried about the $ than there Patients. They will never see any one of my dollars again and the town is all saying the same thing. Shawn Dearie is great, very thorough and ready to listen, if treatment prescribed isn't responding or right for you he is ready to try the next thing, send you for further testing and or refer you to specialist. Shawn Dearie is very kind and compassionate, and is willing to spend as much time as it takes at your appointment to make sure everything is covered and he responds timely to messages. Overall I can recommend Shawn Dearie.
