Shafer Dental

I have been going to Dr. Shafer since we moved to Texas in 2002. We have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Shafer and his staff. I usually dread going to the dentist but Dr. Shafer is different. He professional, kind and super nice. He is also an excellent dentist and would I recommend him to anyone. I would also like to comment on a couple of his staff. Brandi and Tisa are very good at what they do. They make me feel at ease and comfortable which is pretty hard to do when I’m there. They are both very professional, knowledgeable and as kind as anyone can be. If you’re looking for a dentist please give them a try. You won’t regret it.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Shafer and his assistant Pam during my appointment to get a temporary crown for a cracked tooth. He told me everything he was doing during the procedure removing two old fillings from my childhood Dentists and even addressing an old cavity remaining. The Dental miracle IMO was he decided to make the permanent crown during my appointment and brought it in to show me and it looked like a real tooth! I thought I would have the typical discomfort after the crown was placed and several days later still cannot even tell anything was done! AMAZING! He is a caring Dental artist! Pam stayed around the entire time to help Dr Shafer and keep me calm. She has a very caring nature. As does his entire staff. Bonus was listening to one of his Dental assistants singing a beau

I have had several interactions with dentists over the years, and no one compares to this staff! Dr. Shafer fixed a broken filling/tooth of mine and it was quick, painless and perfect, all in one visit. The staff truly cares about their patients. They are always smiling and ready to make you feel comfortable. This is the best dentist I have ever visited.

Dr. Shafer and his entire team including the awesome front desk team are simply wonderful to work with. I have been a patient for 8 years with zero complaints or issues. The entire team are courteous, helpful, enjoyable to be around, easy to speak with and helpful for all issues including insurance, procedures, scheduling, etc. Shafer Dental is a top 10 dental practice in the North Texas region.

If you’re looking to have unnecessary work done on your teeth or want a dental team that doesn’t listen and is focused on revenue and profits, this is your place! I’ve seen a dentist every 6 months since childhood, over 40 years. After moving from MN to Texas mid-year I needed to find a new dentist - but already had my annual bite wing x-rays taken in the spring in MN. I inquired multiple times with the staff about insurance coverage for a new patient visit and cleaning, and was assured insurance would cover everything. I even had my MN dentist send my bite wing x-rays to Dr Shafer’s office. They won’t do an initial visit and cleaning at the same time. They first do a new patient visit where they can do x-rays - and then they quickly offer a list of teeth they want to do work on and the co
