I had an appointment at Baylor Scott & White Convenient Care at 11:20 AM, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. I arrived at 11:26 AM, within their 10-minute late check-in policy. However, I was told I couldn’t be seen because they needed my insurance information for check-in. It’s important to note that verifying insurance at the time of check-in is not legally required for receiving medical care. Refusing to see patients over such administrative procedures, especially when they arrive within the grace period, shows a lack of flexibility and prioritization of patient needs. I expect a healthcare provider of this reputation to focus more on patient care and less on rigid policies that create unnecessary barriers. I needed help and entered the hospital at 1006. Did there online and text check-in to be placed on the waiting list. After a wait of nearly 2 hours, I received a text saying that my wait had extended another 35 minutes and 5 more people were now ahead of me. I approached the desk and informed them I had another appointment at another BSW facility and inquired about the message. THE SAME LADY who checked me in and told me to sign in online, turned to me and told me that the sign in is not a check in and I'm still at the back of the line. My family and I waited the entire time in front of all these receptionists and did not receive a single courteous glance as to why we were still waiting in the lobby. If you have any problems with your eyes！Don't come here for treatment! It just makes your eyes worse and worse. When you want to come back here and ask the doctor, he will say: you need to pay again😅. If a doctor doesn't treat you well and you get worse and worse! Will you continue to pay here?😃 I won't😕. Although I know my comments don't mean anything. I want every clinic to treat every patient with respect, instead of constantly asking them for money＄＄＄. This is a hospital, not a bank.

Makes not sense for a Convenient care to make you schedule an appointment and if they are booked you have to go to an urgent care.

It seems I spend more time at the reception desk checking in and paying than I do actually seeing a physician. This was with a pre check in as well. It may be time to check out St Joseph's.
