Schoolhouse Pediatrics

We have had a wonderful experience with them for almost two years now. We have Centrioni but have seen most of the other doctors as well. If I call, even if I leave a message, they call back right away. I’ve always been able to get my kids in same day or next morning. It was rough for awhile after the Albany location burnt down and call wait times were long. But since they sorted that out it’s back to being as great as usual :)

The Staff and Doctors at Schoolhouse Road have been OUTSTANDING for all 6 of my children for the past 21 years. We started with them in 1998 with our first child and have been with them thru college. Schoolhouse Road has always answered my calls, and if they were busy, called me back quickly. I have always been happy with our primary, Dr. Bevilacqua, and when he wasn't available, the others have been equally great. This office has treated my children like they were their own. Caring, patient, consistent, and welcoming.

Waited over 6 weeks for a new patient appointment for my 2 kids after moving to the neighborhood.The day of my appointment I went in, and was told my appointment had been canceled, but I was never notified. Was told I would need to call back to schedule a new appointment because they couldnt reschedule it at the office. I would also have to wait a week and half before I could call because they weren't scheduling for new patient appointments. I asked if they knew how long after the 1.5 week wait it would be till the next appointment and was told that they had no information. When I asked again about the time frame of rescheduling the receptionist stood up, walked away, and said I was being difficult and needed to talk to someone else. Not only does Dr. Diane Tenenbaum have an incredibly offputting bedside manner, other healthcare providers my family spoke to were completely confused by what she had told us regarding multiple aspects of my newborn son’s care. Her apparently limited medical knowledge created a stressful situation that my family had to deal with during the first few days of my newborn son’s life. Placing our trust in this practice is a hard no for my family after experiencing this unacceptable level of incompetence from Dr. Tenenbaum.

They have NO ONE to answer the phone so you HAVE to wait for a call back. Then they WILL NOT MAKE YOU AN APPOINTMENT for your sick child unless you drop everything/leave work to bring the child in THAT SAME DAY. I said I can bring him in tomorrow and they refused - they say I will have to call them back and leave them another message on whatever day I am available to bring him and HOPE that they call me back/have availability. Completely UNACCEPTABLE.
