Saugerties Physical Therapy

I went to Saugerties Physical Therapy over the summer for a ruptured achilles tendon. Unfortunately, Dan, the physical therapist, didn't understand my orthopedist's prescription and did a lot more harm than good by stretching my achilles when the prescription said explicitly not to. I think they mean well and they are kind people, but this was a huge setback in my (already very lengthy and traumatic) recovery. I would advise this team to brush up on standard care practices for achilles tendon ruptures (and frankly, all care practices and terminology), as this could have done serious damage resulting in surgery and I'm lucky it didn't.

I should have written a review a long time before this. Amy is the most caring person you could meet, and Dan The therapist is amazing. I have been coming for years with different parts of my body needing therapy after surgery. I had fallen and broke the Humerus Head of my arm and started therapy fir this. Well, luckily Dan knows his stuff because he saw my arm was not stable so he messaged the doctor I was seeing and luckily they did an MRI and found I had also tore the Rotator Cuff in half. The hospital missed this. I am forever grateful for his knowledge.

Wonderful place! Dan has helped me through the healing process of three surgeries. Very patient and knows his profession well. Explains so you can understand. Amy, in his office, is always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Being a senior citizen, it's nice to know that I have a physical therapy unit close, who is used to working with seniors and gets the job done... If your mobility is lacking, do yourself a favor go see Dan & Amy. They'll make your life a lot better, you'll have to work for it, but they can definitely make your life better... They even sent you home with exercises, so you don't get in that situation again. Great office to work with...

Couldn't ask for better!! Dan and Amy are just hands down so knowledgeable and have whatever it takes to get you back to a healthier you. I highly recommend them if you need physical therapy.
