Sandy Shores Medical Center & Urgent Care

I went to an appt with 2 of my sons in Surf City and our intake nurse was excellent - she was so kind when taking our vitals and info. I have to say lately we have had experiences in the last few years with other providers where the nurses taking our info were not kind or personable, so this was worthy of comment - she was smiling, kind and caring. Our PA was also equally great. Overall wonderful experience. Love making appt online!

Stopped in first time for an urgent care visit. Was greeted with the nicest desk help , the office atmosphere is so quaint and warm. My wait time honestly not even 15 mins. Greeted again by another super sweet staff member. Then I was seen. Visit 100% awesome. On the road to recovery and so grateful , thankful , and blessed for this team . Definitely a stop if you need an urgent care visit ..

They were thorough yet quick, and I was in and out in under 30 minutes with a clear plan and relief on the way. Exactly how urgent care should be run: clean, fast, helpful, and professional. I had a positive experience here. i was able to get an appointment within a couple of hours of my call and had no wait time upon arrival. The personable PA, Rebecca, showed professional concern and I felt well educated by the time i left.

We were traveling on vacation when our 1.5-year-old came down with a fever and bad cough. It’s always nerve-wracking trying to find care in a new place, but I trusted a great review I saw—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They got us in for an early appointment, and Karen was absolutely wonderful. The nurse was incredible too—so sweet with our son, giving him a coloring book and a little toy that made him smile. They were gentle, thorough, and even discovered an ear infection we didn’t know he had. They sent us off with everything we needed to help him feel better quickly. We’re so grateful we ended up here—it was absolutely the right choice.
