Sally Pratt Speech Therapy

We had such a wonderful experience with Sally. She was incredibly warm, kind, and patient, and always treated our family and routines with so much respect. She made speech therapy feel natural and comfortable, never rushed, and truly met my child where he was. I specially appreciated how adaptable she was, supporting my child in his home language by using and open to learn new vocabulary in Spanish. This means the world to me because I couldn’t find a Spanish speaker speech therapist but Sally made it work. Most of all, she was so lovely with my child, building a real connection and making each session positive and encouraging. We are very grateful for her care and dedication. From the first conversation, Sally offered clear communication of her methodology, and set manageable goals for progress. Her answers to our questions were clear, and she's willing to spend time looking for things she doesn't know. Our child loooooved her meetings with Sally, and often called her "my friend", and was always excited when we said she would be coming that day. When we reached a point when the benchmarks became more abstract, she was the first to recommend we discontinue sessions, since it would be more difficult to mark progress. Sally is professional, knowledgeable, and communicative. I wouldn't hesitate to refer friends and family to her if the opportunity arose.

For the past several months, Sally has been working with our 5 year old daughter who was having some difficulties with speech. There were certain sounds she was struggling with, and it made it hard for others to understand here and was slowing her progress with reading and writing. We were a little nervous about this process as neither of us had done something like this before, and we really wanted our daughter to feel comfortable and not bad about the process or situation. Sally was excellent, and our daughter immediately took to her and would ask every day if she was having speech again! She made excellent progress very quickly, and we saw an immediate impact on her understandability and reading skills. It was a pleasure working with Sally for several months. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and communicative. She was always quick to respond to all of our questions and eased our concerns with evidence-based responses. I especially appreciated the summary notes and resources she shared after each session that delineated the language techniques that we could focus on in between our visits.
