Unfortunately, my mother has had to be brought into the hospital by ambulance on more than one occasion from Pacific Coast Post Acute nursing home. On this particular visit, she was treated in the emergency room for a head laceration from a fall requiring16 staples. The Doctor was very kind, compassionate and did a thorough job. My mother was admitted and received loving care during her 3 day stay. Nurse Cristina and Jocelyn were very kind and attentive to my mother's needs and ours as well. Everyone was very professional, kind and courteous. We had a chaplain visit and pray for my mom, thank you for that. My mother (age 87) recently had a heart procedure performed at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center on January 19, 2026. Not only was it successful, but the hospital and the staff were all amazing. The hospital is immaculately clean. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to every need, informing you of every procedure and process to be done along the way. The nursing staff in the heart center were extremely kind and supportive. Dr. Zetterlund, Dr. Mukai and Dr. De are all experts in their field of Cardiology. They took the time to explain in detail what they found and what needed to be done to fix her failing heart condition. Worst emergency care I've ever received. I have swelling in my spinal chord and brain stem. My symptoms have been getting worse. Today 12/29/25 I lost the ability to speak properly, stand or sit without shaking violently, and it got to the point I lost the ability to breathe for 2 to 3 seconds 3 times before deciding to go in. Once I had to write a list of information of my symptoms because I am unable to speak for myself and I also had to take my wife to go with me due to not being able to speak. I lost consciousness while shaking convulsively and nurses just walked by and ignored me in the waiting room. I never spoke to a doctor. On December 1st I had a Transesophageal Echocardiogram done by Dr Oh in the Cath dept. Dr Oh is amazing, compassionate and kind. He explained everything to me in detail. He is a great Dr. The RN Elizabeth is terrific too. She knew my anxiety was high and helped me thru it. Thank you!! Landon was the technician who handled the Echocardiogram. He was kind and listened to my anxiety about the tube being put in my throat since it isn’t very wide since I have EOE. Landon explained this to the Dr and told him they could use a smaller tube that he had available. Talk about knowing your job very well. He is top notch and this Hospital is very lucky to have him. Came in at 8pm- still waiting currently 11:30pm, came in because my woman had her birth control taken out. Been having constant pain and we been sitting tired. No cleaning on the cut. Just bad.. workers in there just took too long as well ended up leaving. Date November 13. - Also those wait times got to stop as well, what if someone really has an emergency waiting hours will kill them even minutes. Real words, act fast. -feb 2026 we later on got billed for no reason as well
