Safeway Pharmacy

Let me start with I don’t leave many bad reviews. Check my previous. I love leaving good google reviews for places not bad ones. However this needs dealt with. The pharmacist is rude. I don’t care about the wait. I understand they are understaffed. But you don’t need to be rude and it seems to be a pattern. I have a child with mcadd. Everyone living with her and herself need to get the flu vaccine. When she gets sick it messes with her blood sugar and she ends up hospitalized. So every year we go to Safeway on a weekend, incase one of my 5 kids don’t feel well after and they don’t have to miss school, and get our vaccine. Everything is online these days. This place really needs to work on time management, don’t tell people there meds will be done one day then the next day go in and there still not done tell us to wait 15 minutes then 30 minutes go by and they haven’t even started putting them together. I understand being busy but at the end of the day you can only use the excuse of being busy and short staffed so many times.

A year ago I moved to mail RX orders due to the inefficiency of Safeway Pharmacy. Unfortunately there’s just some things you have to get in an emergency. When I came down with an eye infection I couldn’t wait the 3 days for a Rx to be mailed so I had it sent here. An hour later I go to the pharmacy (how long can it take to label a box of eye drops after all). Upon arriving the line was as it always is, 15+ people deep with no sense of urgency from the employees. After waiting another 40 minutes in line they tell me they don’t even have the RX. I called the urgent care and they confirmed they sent it, and then resent it. This is exactly why I stopped using this place. When I finally asked to talk with a manager they said they “might” be in next week. I asked for a number and they said it wa

40 minute line is outrageous. This location needs help. Since other pharmacies have closed and pushed the burden on the staff here the wait is rediculous. Also, the wait room is absolutely filthy. Looks like a dirty motel. Whose responsibly? I don't plan to come back. Notifying my insurance provider.

The Worst Pharmacy. If you have anyone except for the younger pharmacy tech guy, you WILL Be waiting longer than 15 to 20 minutes, even if there are only 1-2 in front people ahead of you. I have given this pharmacy multiple chances and they do not fail to delay care to those in need of medication. There seems to be a HUGE lack of communication between the staff let alone with the provider’s orders. There is an even bigger gap of efficiency and basic problem solving with using the electronic medical system. I’ll have to drive farther to change pharmacies because it should not be this difficult to receive medication.
