Rush Foundation Hospital: Emergency Room

I was in ER for 6 hours with high BP. I never got a bed. I was taken to the back several times to have test done, but always sent back to waiting area. The stench in the waiting room was unbearable. I asked for a mask, but it did no good. And by the way, I have asthma. Which means that I never need to use a mask, but I had no choice. I have good insurance, but was treated like a second class citizen. I am not saying that the PA, nurses and technicians were not good, because they were. But this was absolutely the worst experience that I have ever had at an ER. I will be reporting it to my insurance company, since the last time that I was there in the ER, I was in the hall the entire time and exposed to all people walking through while the EKG leads were put on me. It was humiliating.

Very nice staff, safe ,and comfortable environment and professional. I will highly recommend. Morning shift🥰💪

Got to this so called "er" at 3pm with my son hurting in his lower right side 4 hours later and yep its appendicitis has to have surgery now going 8 hours no room says got to stay the night in the er bc there's no hospital beds in a nearly empty freaking hospital very dissatisfied

As soon as my dad walked in and said he was having difficulty breathing(he didn't mention that it was due to congestion, though), he was given a wheelchair and promptly taken to triage. The polite male nurse quickly found a record of my dad's meds and checked his vitals. We haven't been seen yet, but I am impressed with them, so far. The waiting room is small, but efficient and everyone has been helpful.

Was brought by ambulance with difficulty breathing. Was put in a wheelchair in a triage room for over an hour before they gave me a room. 5 hours later still in wr, asked for something to eat because I am diabetic and hasn't eaten since 9am(I asked before their cafeteria closed). No food and it is now almost 2 hours later. Never got to see the doc, only the nurse practitioner. Finally got food 1 hour after shift change.
