Rocky Mount Family Medical Center

WAS a patient there for 25 years, but since they have been bought out my Generations, it has gone drastically downhill. It shouldn't take 3 weeks to have a referral sent for anything, especially when your insurance does not require approval. There was never anyone there to speak to about problems. I couldn't get my refills sent in. And noone would return my multiple messages and requests for a call back. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy.

Been going here since I was a freshman in high-school. Now I'm 36. The past few years have been terrible. I'm diabetic, and also take meds for thyroid and cholesterol. Whenever my prescriptions need renewing, the pharmacy can never get in touch with them. Any calls or voicemails are ignored. I've gone two weeks without insulin before because of this. Only way to properly get any prescriptions renewed is to physically go in and demand to talk to someone. Was supposed to have an appointment yesterday and was told I had to pay for previous visits. I had never received a bill in the mail, which is how I always received bills from them. They told me they send bills out over email now. I had never given them my email before so hadn't received a bill. Since I couldnt pay what I owed they wouldn't

This was a great practice before Generations took over, but now it's terrible. I scheduled an appointment a week ago, which was the soonest I could be seen. However, the day before my appointment (less than 24 hours in advance), they canceled it. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I called this morning and was informed that my appointment was canceled because the doctor was needed at the Wendell location. What about the sick patients at the Rocky Mount location? This situation is unprofessional and dangerous. I have a primary care provider to avoid going to urgent care or the emergency room, but that’s where I’m headed today. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Carissa Smith PA is absolutely fantastic! She is direct and to the point with amazing communication skills and bedside manner. It’s quite obvious that she cares about her patients!

I don't know why for the low reviews.. I went in and got treated wonderful.. the receptionist was very polite and knowledgeable. I didn't get her name but thanks.. the nurse Latonia was so sweet and loved to listen.. I want to thank her so much.. and doctor Adams was caring and concerned I'd like to thank the staff with such a professional feeling.
