Customer Reviews
Dr. Rock Positano has saved me from unnecessary surgery. I suffered from fallen arches for most of my life. My feet were getting worse and my ankles were caving in. Local foot surgeons suggested invasive surgery that had a low success rate and told me there was no other option. I found Dr Rock through HSS and he advertised options without surgery. I have been seeing him for over a year and he explained everything that he was going to do through treatment and the results he was expecting to achieve. He FIXED my feet. He delivered on everything he said. He is a very bright but humble man with warmth and kindness towards his patients. His office staff and technicians are extremely professional. I will probably be seeing him for a long time but it’s not a problem for me. I can never underestim
Dr. Positano is caring, understanding, skilled listener, extremely brilliant, friendly, and personable podiatrist. I saw him go the first time today after suffering with plantar heel pain for heel spur since 9/24. Two orthopedic doctors and 8 weeks of physical later my pain is no better. As an established patient of HSS, I saw his name listed with foot and ankle care. I am so happy I did. Dr. Positano’s examination of my foot is unprecedented. He had shared with me causes of the and what the next steps are. His condition catchy- my heel still hurts but I now have a terrific doctor to get me through whatever this turns out to be. I know I have found the best podiatrist out there. Regarding wait time and staff: this doctor is top of the class, world renowned. His office will be packed. Yes y
I visited Dr. Positano after years of foot pain and many misdiagnoses. As a young adult experiencing debilitating foot pain, I felt extremely frustrated and hopeless. After another podiatrist recommended joint fusion surgery, I found Dr. Positano to get a second opinion. He told me that I didn’t need surgery, ordered diagnostic tests that no other doctor had ever mentioned to me before, and quickly formulated a treatment plan. As a committed patient, I carefully followed his instructions and completed all the treatments. I now am pain free, and can do all of the activities I haven’t been able to do for years. I am extremely grateful that Dr. Positano provided such excellent care…he literally got me back on my feet!
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this office. I came in for a straightforward issue—a corn on my foot—and was unnecessarily forced to get an X-ray. To make matters worse, I waited over an hour and a half to see the doctor, which felt excessive given the simplicity of my concern. What made the situation even worse was the behavior of the reception staff. Not only were they unprofessional and argumentative, creating a tense and uncomfortable environment, but they also wouldn’t even let me wait in the comfortable waiting room. Instead, they made me sit outside in the hospital section, which felt inconsiderate and added to my frustration. I expected a more efficient and supportive experience, but this visit left me feeling unheard and unwelcome. I hope the office takes this fe
Dr Rock Positano is a fantastic diagnostician. My wife first visited Dr Postiano 11 years ago when she was misdiagnosed by a "local" podiatrist. Dr P. subsequently diagnosed her with a torn tendon and treated her successfully. He has since treated me with neuromas and done so successfully without surgery. Going back to his ability to diagnose, recently (3 weeks ago) I visited him with a swollen foot/ankle. He immediately set up an appointment for a Doppler Ultrasound at HSS which showed that I had blood clots in my lower calf area. That was not the first time he diagnosed me with other than a foot problem. Approximately 5 years earlier, after examination of my foot he determined that I had a more serious problem and referred me to a spine specialist at HSS. I was then diagnosed and
