Roanoke Pediatric Dentistry is truly an amazing place! From the moment you walk in, the staff is warm, welcoming, and so patient with both kids and parents. The office is kid-friendly, with gaming systems and kids’ TV shows that help make dental visits feel fun and relaxed instead of stressful. Dr. Sheppard is absolutely wonderful. He has such a natural way with children— calm, kind, and reassuring. He always takes the time to explain things in a way that makes my kids feel comfortable. Because of him, my kids actually look forward to their appointments (which says everything!). If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist who genuinely cares and creates a positive experience for your children, I can’t recommend Dr. Sheppard and Roanoke Pediatric Dentistry enough. Dr Sheppard and his staff are top notch!! Professional from the front desk, dental assistants to Dr Sheppard himself!! My children enjoy coming to the dentist now since we switched as we certainly did not have a great personal experience at our previous office. They personalize their visit to make it special for them, from their favorite cartoon on the TV to their favorite toothpaste flavor and a special prize at the end!! My daughter needed dental work done and they were very caring and kept me updated through the procedure. Dr Sheppard’s bedside manner is truly out of this world!!!

We had the best experience at roanoke pediatric dentistry ! Everyone was so kind and made me and my girl feel so welcome and comfortable!! Dr. Sheppard explained everything to me and made me feel so much better about the state of my daughters teeth ! My girl has big dentist fear but left there so happy and told everyone about her visit !

What a great experience for my kids to go to a dentist office where they are treated with love, compassion, and respect. Dr. Sheppard does so well with my kids and they actually look forward to going to the dentist. The rooms have tv’s playing kids movies and they are given sunglasses so the lights aren’t so bright for them. When they are finished, they are given a token to get a small prize for doing well during the exam. They really care and look after their little patients.

Brought my daughter in for her first ever dental appointment at 3.5 years old. She’s generally wary of new people and particularly medical type stuff, as most kids her age are. The staff at Roanoke Pediatric Dentistry was friendly and very kind and patient with my daughter. The front desk staff made us welcome and were friendly. The dental assistant who did the cleaning did amazing to make my daughter relaxed and comfortable for the visit. It was just a general cleaning and exam, but both the dentist and dental assistant were amazing! Dr Shepherd and his staff are Great!
